Hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII, several hundred Japanese Americans, including local school officials, newspaper editors, priests, and other business and community leaders were arrested by Hawaiʻi authorities. The timeline of events is known, however, very little is known about the individual experiences of the Japanese Americans. This film captures some of the individual stories of those who were incarcerated in the internment camps across the different islands in Hawaiʻi.
